Arabic Grammar – Marfuaat

On Monday, 13th October, 2014, we studied Marfooaat. Marfuaat is a topic from Nahw. Marfuaat are those words that have raf’a [or dammah or paysh] at their last words. There are 8 kinds of words that fall under this category.

1. Mubtadaa (مبتدا).
2. Khabar (خبر).
3. Faa’il (فاعل).
4. Naib ul faa’il (نائب الفاعل).
5. Ism (اسم) of al-af’aal al-naaqisah (الأفعال الناقصة).
6. Khabar (خبر) of Mushabbah bi-l-f’el (مشبة بالفعل).
7. Ism of ma and la resembling to lais (ما و لا مشابه بليس).
8. Khabar of la for negation of jins or kind (لا التي لنفي الجنس or لا النافية الجنس).
